Inconsistent Music
Different employees create a different atmosphere every shift.
A simple, practical handbook for explaining Sound Soirée, qualifying hospitality prospects, presenting our plans, handling common objections, and closing a 3-month managed music agreement.
Sound Soirée provides professionally curated and managed background music for restaurants, lounges, bars, hotels, and hospitality businesses.
We are not simply selling playlists. We combine human curation, commercial streaming, dedicated hardware, daypart scheduling, remote management, ongoing updates, and technical support.
Different employees create a different atmosphere every shift.
Lunch, dinner and late night often need completely different programming.
The same familiar playlists get played until staff and regulars know every transition.
Managers should be managing service—not searching for playlists.
Personal streaming accounts are not the same as a managed commercial background-music solution.
Good songs do not automatically create the right sound for the concept.
Concept, clientele, price point, atmosphere, dayparts, likes, dislikes, artists and energy.
Our curators build programming specifically around the venue—not a generic station.
The dedicated commercial streaming player connects to virtually any existing audio system.
Lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night transition automatically.
Sound Soirée handles updates, schedules, programming changes and technical support.
Our programming is built by experienced DJs and music curators with hospitality experience. We consider brand identity, clientele, time of day, tempo, familiarity, season, location, and desired energy.
Music requests are welcome. If a client finds a song on Spotify, they can send it to us. We check availability in the commercially licensed catalog and add it when available.
Our programming is delivered through a commercial streaming platform designed for business background music.
For U.S. background streaming, the underlying service includes public-performance licensing coverage for represented repertoires including ASCAP, BMI and GMR.
Salespeople should never say Sound Soirée itself “owns” or “issues” these licenses. When a licensing question gets complicated, escalate it rather than improvise.
All programs are sold on a 3-month service term and paid three months in advance.
Best for: cafés, casual dining, stable concepts.
Best for: busy restaurants, upscale dining, repeat clientele.
Best for: lounges, high-volume hospitality, trend-conscious concepts.
“A lot of our conversations start there. The difference is that we provide a managed commercial music program—curation, streaming, scheduling and ongoing management—so your staff doesn’t have to.”
“They may be great playlists. The question is whether you want management spending time maintaining music every week. We take that responsibility off the restaurant.”
“That’s a good starting point. Where Sound Soirée differs is human curation and ongoing management built around your brand rather than just giving you stations.”
“Absolutely. Send us the track or Spotify link. We check commercial availability and incorporate it when available.”
“For only $18 more than Essential, you get weekly updates plus seasonal and special-event curation. For venues where music affects the atmosphere, that’s often the strongest value.”
“The consistency is intentional. We create enough variety and dayparts so staff shouldn’t need to constantly change the music.”
Once the client understands the value, do not overcomplicate the close.
“We become your outsourced music department.”
